These Terms of Service govern your use of the eSchool Ghana website and your engagement with our team through website forms, email or other contact channels.

Acceptance of terms

By registering a school account, purchasing a subscription, or accessing eSchool Ghana, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.

Definitions

"eSchool Ghana", "we", "our", and "us" refer to the provider of the eSchool Ghana platform.

"School" refers to an educational institution registered on the platform.

"User" refers to any person authorized by a School to access the Service.

"Subscription" refers to a paid plan selected by a School.

"Content" refers to all information uploaded, stored, or generated through the Service.

Description of service

eSchool Ghana is a cloud-based school management platform designed to help schools manage their academic, administrative, financial, and communication activities.

The Service may include:

  • Student information management.
  • Admissions management.
  • Attendance management.
  • Assessment and report card generation.
  • Fee management.
  • Staff management.
  • Parent and student portals.
  • Communication tools.
  • SMS notifications.
  • Optional modules such as boarding management.

School account responsibilities

The School is responsible for maintaining accurate information and managing access to its account.

The School is responsible for all activities performed through its authorized user accounts.

  • Keeping login credentials secure.
  • Creating appropriate user permissions.
  • Removing access for unauthorized users.
  • Ensuring users comply with these Terms.

Subscription plans and payments

Access to eSchool Ghana requires an active subscription.

Subscriptions may be billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly depending on the selected plan.

Plans may include different usage limits, benefits, and optional add-ons.

Payments must be made on time to maintain uninterrupted access.

Add-ons

Additional features or increased usage limits may be purchased separately as add-ons.

Add-ons follow the billing cycle of the main subscription unless otherwise stated.

SMS credits

Subscription plans may include complimentary SMS credits.

Additional SMS credits may be purchased separately.

SMS delivery depends on telecommunications providers and network availability.

Data ownership

The School retains ownership of all information uploaded into eSchool Ghana.

This includes student records, staff information, academic records, financial information, documents, and uploaded files.

eSchool Ghana only processes this information to provide and improve the Service.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect customer information.

These measures may include secure authentication, access controls, encryption, monitoring, and backups.

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Acceptable use

Users must not use eSchool Ghana in any way that violates applicable laws or harms the security and operation of the Service.

  • Attempting unauthorized access.
  • Uploading malicious software.
  • Interfering with system operations.
  • Circumventing subscription limits.
  • Using the platform for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

The eSchool Ghana platform, including its software, branding, designs, documentation, and related materials, remains the property of eSchool Ghana.

Customers receive a limited right to use the Service while their subscription remains active.

Service availability

We aim to provide reliable access to the Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party failures, or events beyond our control.

Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party providers for services such as hosting, payments, email delivery, SMS delivery, and storage.

We are not responsible for failures caused by third-party providers.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is abuse of the platform, security risks, unpaid subscriptions, or violation of these Terms.

After termination, the School may be able to export available data before deletion according to our retention policies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, eSchool Ghana is not responsible for indirect losses, loss of business, loss of profits, or damages caused by misuse of the Service.

Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet failures, cyber incidents, government actions, or infrastructure failures.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Changes become effective once published on this page.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
